Chinese tech brand Realme is gearing up to launch its first laptop, dubbed the Realme Book. Manu Kumar Jain, Managing Director of Xiaomi India, has posted photos that confirm that the laptop will support Realme PC Connect mode for fast communication with smartphones.
Various companies that sell smartphones and laptops have similar software solutions that make it easier to share content and manage phones from computers. The most famous are Huawei Multi Screen and Samsung DeX. Xiaomi has been publicly testing MIUI + for almost a year now.
In addition, Oppo is working on a similar feature called Cross Screen Interconnection. The feature is currently undergoing testing and will reportedly debut with ColorOS 12. Realme and OnePlus are subsidiaries of Oppo, sharing software with that company. Simply put, the smartphones of these three brands use ColorOS with some modifications to make them look different from each other.
Since Realme is the first of three brands to launch a laptop, this company will introduce a new cross-device connectivity feature.
The Realme presentation is scheduled for August 18th.
