Anthony Blinken fires at Turkey

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken has been targeted by Turkey during his first speech to the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The head of American diplomacy criticized Ankara for the violation of Greek airspace but also in general for the provocative actions it has taken recently against our country. In this light, he said that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all parties in the Eastern Mediterranean must be respected and clarified that resorting to provocative actions and the use of military means could not be the basis for resolving disputes, which should to be resolved peacefully and diplomatically.

Regarding the Cyprus issue, he reminded that it is an issue that President Biden has personally addressed and reiterated the firm US position, which supports a solution within the framework set by the UN and rejects a solution based on two states.
