Anthony Scaramucci: I’m not going to move to Dogecoin, Ethereum. Bitcoin only

Anthony Scaramucci, founder and managing partner of the investment company SkyBridge Capital, told Decrypt why his focus is now on the first cryptocurrency.

“I am especially focused on bitcoin. I’m not going to move to Dogecoin, Ethereum, other cryptocurrencies or digital assets, I’m with the main leader, ”he said.

Scaramucci noted that digital gold makes up the majority of the cryptocurrency market capitalization, it has thousands of competitors, but none could challenge the leadership.

SkyBridge began investing in bitcoin last fall, and by December the investments had reached $ 182 million. In January, the firm launched a fund based on the first cryptocurrency with $ 310 million in assets.

Another reason for the attention exclusively to bitcoin, the financier called the skepticism of investors regarding investments in cryptocurrencies. More likely to convince them to invest in a flagship than in altcoins, he said.

“At the moment, the number one goal is to try to convert the skeptics. I think even bringing them to Bitcoin will be quite difficult. You know the acronym FUD: fear, uncertainty and doubt. However, we manage money for a lot of retrogrades, ”added Scaramucci.

To promote the cryptocurrency, the founder of SkyBridge uses the tactic of “information saturation”. Together with COO Brett Messing, they regularly host live chats about Bitcoin – the ups and downs of the asset, risk management and the emergence of new corporations in the industry such as MicroStrategy or Tesla.

“I am half parrot and half woodpecker, so I can peck your brain with great tenacity until the head explodes. I can repeat the same thing over and over again with great enthusiasm, ”said Scaramucci.

He did not rule out that in the future he will expand the focus to other digital assets in addition to bitcoin.

Earlier, Scaramucci said that regulation contributes to the investment attractiveness of the first cryptocurrency, and Brett Messing expressed confidence that institutions are able to raise the asset rate to $ 500,000
