At least two armed Russian groups based in Ukraine and opposed to the Kremlin announced that they launched raids on Russia's western border today, Tuesday 12/3. The Legion for the Freedom of Russia and the Order of Siberia announced on their Telegram pages that they launched attacks on Russia from Ukraine. “We will take our land from the regime centimeter by centimeter,” the Legion for the Freedom of Russia said in the Telegram post. Reuters was unable to cross-reference these reports independently. Russian officials were not immediately available for comment today. In the past, Russian officials have described the groups as puppets of the Ukrainian military and the US intelligence agency, the CIA, while Moscow says they are trying to cause chaos in Russia.
