Russian and Chinese warships conducted anti-submarine warfare exercises in the northwest Pacific Ocean as part of a joint patrol in the Asia-Pacific region, Russian media reported today. “A group of warships carried out maneuvers (…) for the organization of anti-submarine defense,” reports the Interfax news agency citing the press service of the Russian Pacific Fleet. The report noted that warships from the two countries began joint patrols after participating in the Beibu/Interaction 2024 naval training in September. Unit operational training, including anti-submarine warfare and sea rescue exercises, was planned as part of these patrols. On the Russian side, the destroyers “Admiral Pandeleev” and “Admiral Trimbuts” participated, according to Interfax.
