The Dogecoin Memcoin took third place in popularity among Russian miners with a share of 8.4%, losing Litecoin (11.1%) and bitcoin (49.4%), said Anton Gorelykin, Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Information Policy.

The deputy played at a meeting of the commission of the regional public center of Internet technologies (Rocyit), which summed up the first results of the work of the law on the ban on free circulation of cryptocurrencies and mining. Gorelkin said that 98 companies registered in the register of mining infrastructure operators, and 563 in the miners register.

According to the deputy, who was the co -author of the mining law, the rate of registration is growing, and, perhaps, it is already worth considering for the participants in the market to stimulate measures.

The deputy said that in April, Russian miners will have to submit tax reports for the first time, and then it will become known what income the state budget will receive from their activities. According to the forecast, they are estimated at 50-60 billion rubles annually, added Gorekin.

Earlier, Anton Gorelkin said that the formation of a strategic reserve in cryptocurrencies in Russia is not yet discussed at the state level.
