The National Land Transport Agency (ANTT) approved this Tuesday (19) a new table with minimum prices for road freight, with an average adjustment ranging from 0.87% to 1.96%.
The update is based on the legal rule that the regulatory agency must readjust the table by January 20 and July 20 of each year.
The last adjustment took place less than a month ago, when the agency published average adjustments from 7.06% to 8.99%.
On that occasion, however, the change was made after a variation of more than 5% was observed in the price of diesel oil practiced at the pump at retail stations in the national market in relation to the reference values used in the previous freight table.
The National Policy on Minimum Floors for Road Cargo Transport was instituted in 2018 by the government of Michel Temer, after a national strike by truck drivers that paralyzed the country’s supply. The new values were approved at a meeting of the ANTT board.
According to the report approved on Tuesday, the average readjustment for road transport of cargo/capacity was 1.96%. For contracting only a cargo motor vehicle, 1.51%.
In the case of high-performance road freight/capacity transport, the average readjustment was recorded at 1.30%, and 0.87% for contracting only the high-performance cargo motor vehicle.
The updates take into account, among other factors, the application of the S10 diesel value of 7,583 reais per liter, referring to the values released by the National Agency of Petroleum and Biofuels (ANP) for the period from 07/10/2022 to 07/16 /2022.
