Anvisa bans the sale of olive oil and grated coconut brands in Brazil

The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has banned the sale of olive oil brands Mountain range and Serrano throughout the national territory. The resolution was published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Tuesday (24).

According to the agency, the import and distribution of these products are carried out by unknown establishments in the country. The manufacture, advertising, marketing and use of these oils are also not permitted.

In the resolution, the sale of grated coconut from the company Coco & Cia was also suspended, and batch 030424158 of the product was recalled, considering “the unsatisfactory result in the quantitative research test for sulfur dioxide”.

THE CNN looked for the Coco & Cia brand and is trying to contact the companies Cordilheira and Serrano for a position.
