Anya Taylor-Joy, all about her wedding dress (two years after the wedding!)

We don't know much about the details of this low-profile wedding, which was kept very secret, at least until October 2023 when the couple celebrated the wedding retrospectively with a sumptuous ceremony in Venice at Palazzo Pisani Moretta, a historic residence from the 1400s, in the presence of numerous celebrity friends including Cara Delevingne, Nicolas Hoult, Julia Garner and Miles Teller.

Some photos had leaked and what had especially aroused curiosity was the particular wedding dress chosen by the diva, who certainly always knows how not to go unnoticed (remember that last February Anya Taylor-Joy walked the red carpet of Dunes 2 showing off another wedding dress, a Christian Dior Hymènèe dated 1961, which recalls the bridal collection of the well-known French maison. A dress which, however, seems to recall the hijab typical of Muslim culture, has generated quite a bit of controversy).

For the happy wedding occasion, however, the protagonist of The Queen of Chess he gave his extravagant touch to the bridal fashion through a princess dress in beige and blush tulle made to measure by the fashion house Dior, the brand of which it is an ambassador. The design was embroidered with illustrations of birds and flowers in dark gray shades and paired with a bright white long veil.

In particular the wide skirt was embellished with cherry blossoms, a symbol of renewal and new beginnings, and other woodland motifs, with a hummingbird fluttering on the bodice and an embroidered thistle. The thistle is the national flower of Scotland and it is possible that Taylor-Joy chose it as a tribute to her Scottish-Argentinian father.

The bride added a series of other personal details, including a symbol of Aries, his zodiac sign and perhaps his «something blue»sewn just above the waist.

Why are we now talking about a wedding dress shown off in October? Simple, because now the diva has posted it on her Instagram profile, precisely on the occasion of his first two years as a married woman, giving us the opportunity to observe him better in all, numerous details.
