OnePlus CEO Pete Lau has posted on Twitter that an important announcement will be made on March 8th.

Earlier we assumed that details about the OnePlus 9 series could be published on this day. Now, more details have appeared. The fact is that this photo of the Earth from the surface of the Moon was taken with a Hasselblad camera from the Apollo 11 spacecraft.

At the beginning of the year, it became known that OnePlus is collaborating with the well-known company Hasselblad on the creation of cameras for new smartphones. The sources add that the company will not only announce the launch date for OnePlus on March 8, but it will also announce a partnership with Hasselblad. Until now, there have been no smartphones with cameras from this manufacturer on the market. Pete Lau also posted a link to the Moonshot website, which points directly to the smartphone’s excellent photography capabilities.

According to previous leaks, the OnePlus 9 Pro will be equipped with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, a side curved screen with 120Hz refresh rate support. He will receive 12 GB of RAM and 256/512 GB of flash memory. The device will support 65-watt wired and 45-watt wireless charging. Four image sensors are expected to be installed in the main camera of the OnePlus 9 Pro, and specialists from the Swedish company Hasselblad are taking part in the creation and setup of the camera for the first time.
