The defense of pastor Denise Seixas, widow of the apostle Rina, founder of the Bola de Neve church, sent a lawsuit to the São Paulo Court of Justice (TJ-SP) with alleged fraud carried out by the former administrative council in the institution’s accounts.
THE CNN had access to the document, sent to the Court on January 13th.
In the complaint, the current president of Bola de Neve points out that the company’s former board, including Everton César Ribeiro, “have been acting illegally in its name, through social networks, granting powers of attorney, in addition to operating bank accounts”.
In the document, the former church council is accused of illegally moving the institution’s profits, “through” another bank account.
“And it is through the financial institution BMP Money Plus that the Defendants [antigo conselho] has received revenues belonging to the Church, through the issuance of invoices of which the applicant [Denise Seixas] had access”, says an excerpt from the document.
In addition to exposing these movements, the process shows that Denise also made official Bradesco, the bank where she maintains her church account, so she can have full access and control over Bola de Neve’s accounts.
Other complaints
In December last year, the São Paulo Public Prosecutor’s Office (MP-SP) began investigating other alleged embezzlement of money, also by the former board that held leadership of Igreja Bola de Neve.
According to the complaint, Everton César Ribeiro, Gilberto Custódio de Aguiar, Renê Guilherme Koerner and Rodrigo Arruda Bicudo carried out suspicious actions after assuming the presidency of Bola de Neve, such as financial transactions in Rina’s account, as well as using shell companies to provide services to the church.
They issued million-dollar invoices, in addition to making use of a confidential document signed by Denise and the apostle Rina, in which the widow would resign from the vice-presidency to justify administrative actions within the institution.
According to the request, on November 25th, even after Denise assumed the presidency of the church, the four accused called for a solemn act to install a new management.
They also filed a lawsuit against her, alleging embezzlement (when there is total and illegal deprivation of possession of an asset), disturbance (when there is partial and illegal deprivation of the asset) and threat.
Suspicious companies
Among the companies listed in the document sent to the MP are SIAF Solutions, Green Grid Energy and Filhos do Rei Serviços de Conservação, which have links with those accused and carried out million-dollar transactions involving the church. See below:
- SIAF Solutions : Company registered in the name and address of Everton Cesar Ribeiro. Controlled tithe collection at rates of 3-5%, totaling R$492 thousand;
- Green Grid Energy : Newly created company, also in the name of Everton, responsible for financial consultancy services to the church, declared revenue of R$6 million;
- Sons of the King Conservation Services : His partner is Kelly Cristina Ribeiro Bettio, sister of Everton Cesar Ribeiro. It issued invoices worth R$1.4 million, but the address registered as the company’s headquarters is a residence, where they are unaware of its existence.
Changes in Civil Registry
Still in the document obtained by CNN there are changes made to the church registry by the four defendants, in addition to the appointment of a new president.
One of the excerpts says that, on November 26th, the accused Gilberto Custódio de Aguiar asked for a change in the registry office of the apostle Rina’s death certificate, where he tried to remove Denise’s name as the apostle’s wife, to make it impossible for her to assume the role. presidency.
Other side
When contacted, Everton César Ribeiro, mentioned in both cases, stated that he was unaware of the judicial notification. He also reaffirmed that his companies follow legislation and compliance standards.
According to him, his contracts are audited and regular.
“I will take the appropriate legal action if my name or that of companies are the target of false statements. Likewise, I repudiate the disclosure of any values, which violates the constitutional right to financial secrecy of companies and my individual”, he declared.
Bola de Neve, in a statement, stated that it has not yet been notified. However, he said “that his management is fully in accordance with legislation and good compliance practices”.
“For more than a decade, the organization’s accounts have been audited annually and approved without restrictions by a multinational company whose expertise and seriousness are recognized for the quality and regularity of the services provided”, continued the church.
Regarding the processes that are being filed, the church reiterated that “in the legal appeals that have been filed, the resignation signed by pastor Denise Seixas on August 27th remains valid, a perfect legal act that Denise herself recognized as valid when receiving the financial amounts due and provided for by the agreement signed at that time — the agreement provided for the resignation and monthly payments that have already exceeded R$ 330 thousand to the pastor”.
