An app driver attacked a passenger in Salvador. this Sunday (10), after she refused to pay for the race in advance. The attack was recorded by a digital influencer who witnessed the incident.
According to police authorities, the driver is under investigation for bodily injury, and the victim will undergo a forensic examination.
The video posted on social media shows the moment when the driver stops the car, gets out of the vehicle and begins attacking the passenger with punches and kicks, preventing her from leaving the vehicle.
Digital influencer Sazaki Danone reported on his social media that the attack occurred after the victim refused to pay the fare in advance. The driver fled the scene after the crime.
According to Sazaki, the woman was taken to the 13th Territorial Police Station (DT/Cajazeiras), where the police report was registered.
Police said the suspect will be summoned to give a statement.
The race was called using the inDrive app, in which payment is made by the user directly to the partner driver.
A CNN contacted the platform's press office and is awaiting a position.
