Sources say Apple will be launching a new version of its popular fully wireless earbuds very soon. The second generation AirPods Pro is expected to be released in the first half of this year.
DigiTimes, citing a whistleblower familiar with flash storage vendor Winbond’s plans, confirms that Apple AirPods Pro 2 fully wireless earbuds will be launching soon. The Winbond production lines are already operating at full capacity.
Earlier this month, it was reported that Apple could launch its high-end headphones in April 2021. The company is rumored to be releasing AirPods Pro in two sizes, including a lightweight version.
Sources also reported that the second generation AirPods Pro will have a shorter stem and may even resemble the Samsung Galaxy Buds or Google Pixel Buds in terms of design.
