Apple today unveiled groundbreaking new MacBook Pro laptops and announced during the presentation the release date for the stable version of its new operating system for computers – macOS Monterey.

macOS Monterey was announced in June 2021. The OS is still being tested by developers and the public. As it became known now, the release will take place on Monday next week – October 25th. It will be available as a free update for all compatible computers:
- iMac – Late 2015 and newer
- Mac Pro – Late 2013 and newer
- iMac Pro – 2017 and newer
- Mac mini – Late 2014 and newer
- MacBook Air – Early 2015 and newer
- MacBook – Early 2016 and newer
- MacBook Pro – Early 2015 and newer.
The new OS offers innovations such as airplay to Mac, a redesigned Safari browser with the ability to group tabs and sync them in iCloud between Mac, iPhone and iPad, FaceTime spatial audio, SharePlay for sharing content.

An interesting innovation such as “Universal Management” at the time of release on October 25 may be inactive. As noted by Apple, the feature will be available “later this fall,” meaning we can hope to launch it before December.
Universal Control allows you to use a single keyboard, mouse, or trackpad to work on multiple devices out of the box. The user just needs to move the cursor towards the second device using the mouse or trackpad until the cursor appears on another screen.
