Honda has unveiled a charged version of the 2022 Honda Civic. The car was named Honda Civic Si 2022, it was created on the basis of a sedan, but at the same time it received improved characteristics.
The new Honda Civic Si 2022 upgrades Honda’s 1.5-liter turbocharged VTEC four-cylinder engine and mates it to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The engine has a power of 200 hp. and a torque of 260 N • m. The car has become more high-torque at low revs, that is, it will accelerate even faster.
The car will receive only a 6-speed “mechanics”, the automatic is simply not provided. But the manufacturer notes that this charged car will consume only 7.5 liters of gasoline per 100 kilometers on the combined cycle.
A new Active Sound Control system is standard, which enhances the natural engine noise in the cabin. Honda insists that this will improve the overall driving experience. Larger brakes were installed. All-season tires 235/40 R18 are standard. Honda installed 8% stiffer front springs and 54% stiffer rear springs, along with new shock absorbers, reinforced MacPherson struts for better cornering and thicker front and rear anti-roll bars to reduce body roll. Normal and sport driving modes are provided.
Inside, there are exclusive sports seats with integrated headrests and more shoulder and hip support, as well as sports pedals and red contrast stitching. Standard equipment includes a 7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Honda has also added a 12-speaker Bose audio system, and Honda Sensing is standard.
The car will go on sale at the end of the year.
