Apple Changes Course: Company Begins Work on 6G

A new job posting revealed by Bloomberg shows that the Cupertino-based company is looking for engineers and talent to help it develop its next-generation 6G cellular technology.

There are still several years left before the introduction of 6G technology, given that 5G has so far been introduced only in some countries of the world. However, American companies do not want to repeat the story with 5G, when China is noticeably ahead of the United States in terms of network deployment speed.

The vacancy announcement explains that Apple is looking for people to “research and develop next generation (6G) wireless communication systems for radio access networks” and “participate in industry / academic forums dedicated to 6G technologies”. It also says the candidate will have a unique and useful opportunity to create next-generation wireless technology that will have a profound impact on future Apple products.
