Apple closes three stores in US and Canada due to rising cases

The technology giant Apple has temporarily closed three of its stores, two in the USA and one in Canada, after the increase of the coronavirus cases in the employees.

More specifically, the company announced that it is temporarily closing its stores in Miami and Annapolis, as well as its store in Ottawa.

The closure of these stores comes a day after the tech giant re-adopted the policy of using a mask by all customers across its network of stores in the US

Apple, however, is not the only company to take tougher action, as growing concerns about the rapidly spreading Omicron variant of the coronavirus have derailed the plans of many other companies to return to normalcy, rekindling unpleasant memories.

Google, for example, told its employees they would face pay sanctions and even risk dismissal if they did not comply with the company’s vaccination rules, according to a report, while JP Morgan Chase & Co asked unvaccinated staff. in Manhattan to work from home.

Stricter measures by businesses come as coronavirus cases rise again in parts of Canada and the United States.
