Kickboxing

Kickboxing workouts help move all muscle groups and are excellent for developing strength, endurance, coordination and balance. From January 9, Fitness+ therefore adds kickboxing as a new type of total body cardio workout. Each session consists of a series of discrete moves, followed by a final round that combines the newly learned moves into a one-minute interval where you can give it your all. You don’t need any special tools and the lessons last 10, 20 or 30 minutes. The training is led by two Fitness+ trainers. Jamie-Ray Hartshorne, who users know and love for his HIIT, treadmill and Let’s Run workouts, trained in muay Thai and competed as a pro in Thailand. Also Nez Dally (pictured below) joins the trainer team in conducting kickboxing workouts. This muay thai fighter made history by becoming the first woman to compete in Thailand wearing the hijab.

New trainers

Among other things, since January, the Fitness+ team welcomes Dally and two other trainers: Brian Cochrane for HIIT e Jenn Lau for strengthening. Cochrane, from Scotland, has played many sports since he was a child, so his HIIT workouts are characterized by great versatility. As a former lead singer of an indie band, he continues to be inspired by the way music and movement intertwine. Lau co-founded a gym in her hometown of Toronto and is a strong believer in inclusion and helping people stay active. The athlete channels her tenacity and playfulness into every lift and lunge.
