Recently released by Apple, the brand new MacBook Pro has one feature on which the public on the Internet cannot come to a consensus. We are talking, of course, about the “bangs”.
This cutout of the screen leaves no one indifferent, some enjoy the thin bezels around the screen, and some come out with passionate criticism. The fact that not all software is optimized and works correctly with Apple’s “innovation” adds fuel to the fire.
In response to the criticism, Apple has released a new document in its support section that aims to help bang-haters.
It describes the Scale to fit below built-in camera setting, when activated, applications will be forced to scale to use only the area of the screen below the notch. Visually, the bangs disappear and the good old “thick frames” return.
Apple also mentions in the support document that the scaling feature will be removed as soon as developers update their apps to work correctly with the notch.
