Recently, the United States Patent and Trademark Office released details on new Apple technologies related to smartphone batteries and increasing their capacity.
The first Apple patent describes a system for detecting the components surrounding a battery that will allow larger batteries to be inserted into the device’s case without damaging the components.
The patent says that using a metal case around the battery compartment and then grounding it will place the components closer to the battery. In some cases, components can contact the metal case without damage.

The second patent describes various solutions for detecting and reducing battery swelling. Once an extension is detected, the processor will figure out how to slow down or prevent the extension. This will be achieved by adjusting the battery charge level.
Earlier it was also reported that Apple is solving the problem of short battery life of the iPhone, so new smartphones should have increased capacity batteries.
