Apple has expanded its non-replacement repair program to the flagship iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
Last month it was announced that the iPhone 12 mini and iPhone 12 in some cases, instead of the usual replacement of the entire smartphone, will be repaired, for example, changing the broken glass.
Now Apple will start doing the same with the iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max. Special iPhone Rear System Kits are now available in Apple Stores and Authorized Service Centers. Such kits are suitable not only for replacing the back panel if it breaks. The kit includes all the components of the iPhone “under the hood”, except for the screen and the main camera.
Of course, for such a repair, the main camera and screen should not be damaged on the smartphone. A replacement will also be offered if the smartphone won’t turn on, has problems with Face ID or the motherboard. It is noted that the new repair method is becoming available in all iPhone 12 sales regions, including Russia.
