Apple has released a software update for its AirTag that makes it harder to use the gadget to secretly spy on other people.

If earlier AirTag started to beep after a three-day stay away from the owner, now AirTag will start “sounding the alarm” after a noticeably shorter time interval – from 8 to 24 hours, and the exact time of signaling will be random. The software update will be automatically installed when the AirTag is connected to the iPhone.
Apple also confirmed that an app for Android users is already being prepared. It will help you detect if an AirTag has been planted on you unnoticed. The release of the application is planned by the end of 2021
