A screenshot has also been posted showing the specifications of the new MacBook Pro, which has been certified prior to launch on the market. The laptop is confirmed to be equipped with an Apple M1X single-chip system, 64GB of RAM and a 512GB solid state drive.

Now we know for sure that Apple has decided to name the successor to the Apple M1 SoC (Apple M1X), not the Apple M2. According to previously announced information, the Apple M2 SoC will be released as part of the new MacBook Air laptops, which will be released next year with a new design and a set of ports.

Earlier, the editor of the authoritative resource Bloomberg Mark Gurman (Mark Gurman) confirmed that Apple is preparing to launch the new Apple M1X SoC at an October event. The M1X platform has been designed in two flavors: with 10 CPU cores (eight high-performance and two high-efficiency) and with 16 or 32 graphics cores. The SoC will receive improved neural processing capabilities and support for up to 64GB of RAM.
