Apple Inc. plans to hold an event on September 7 to unveil the iPhone 14 lineup, Bloomberg reports, citing people with knowledge of the matter.
The new iPhones will open the curtain on the company’s fall product season, which will also include new Macs and iPads as well as three Apple Watch models.
Apple is updating its flagship product — which generates more than half of the tech giant’s revenue — at a difficult time for the industry, Bloomberg notes. Smartphone sales have begun to decline as consumers grapple with high inflation and a shaky economy. But Apple appears to be doing better than its peers: iPhone sales did well last quarter, and the company has told suppliers it doesn’t foresee a drop in demand, Bloomberg notes.
