In videos and posts published on social networks, some users explained that the problem only occurred when using the camera with third-party platforms such as Snapchat, TikTok and Instagram.
A YouTube user posted a video showing her phone shaking when using TikTok. Other users have posted similar issues on Reddit.
“I have seen my camera shaking uncontrollably every time I open Snapchat or use the camera for Instagram,” wrote one user. “However, I have no problems when I use the normal camera app.”
In a statement to CNN on Tuesday, Apple said it is working to resolve the issue.
“We are aware of the issue and a fix will be released next week,” a company spokesperson said.
