Apple has removed the 27-inch LG UltraFine 5K Monitor from its online store. The source attributes this to the release of the Apple Studio Display model.
The LG UltraFine 5K Monitor was jointly developed by LG and Apple and is therefore well suited for use with computers running macOS. The 5K display boasted a brightness of 500 cd/m3wide color gamut, and a Thunderbolt 3 port to charge your laptop.
The LG UltraFine 5K monitor retailed for $1,299. By comparison, the Apple Studio Display has a starting price of $1,599. The Studio Display became available for pre-order this week and will go on sale March 18th. Aside from the Studio Display, Apple’s website only has a 23.7-inch UltraFine 4K display starting at $699.
LG’s own website says the UltraFine 5K display is sold out.
