Apple has unveiled a new mobile platform for its iPhones – iOS 15 at WWDC 2021.
Apple paid a lot of attention to the story of innovations in the FaceTime video calling service. FaceTime in iOS 15 introduces a grid view and portrait mode for videos when the background is blurred, as well as support for Spatial Audio, which emphasizes the sound of the voice depending on the situation.
And most importantly, you can now create video call links that you can share with others for easy joining. The new SharePlay feature lets you “share” music, videos, and even movies during a FaceTime video call, as well as show the screen.
The Messages app provides new ways to share content such as pictures, music, podcasts, Apple News articles, and more. You can create something like a collage, a stack, and also pin the transferred content.
All content sent in Messages is saved in the corresponding applications – music in Apple Music, photos in Photos, and so on.
Also, notifications have been redesigned in the system. There are now “summary” notifications, which are based on the user’s habits of interaction with applications. Dashboards appear at a specific time, either assigned by the user or calculated using the artificial intelligence system.
Do Not Disturb status is now displayed to contacts in Messages, there are also alternative statuses. Statuses are synchronized between devices. The Focus function allows you to organize notifications according to the situation. For example, in the “Work” mode, only “work” alerts will be displayed.
The Live Text function was introduced, which allows users to select and select text in images, as well as translate it, copy it into documents, and much more. Live Text works in Photos and other apps like Apple News.
We’ve also updated Maps, Weather, Wallet lets you store documents, Spotlight search has learned how to find text in a photo, Memories in Photos now supports Apple Music, and much more.
The news is being finalized as the presentation progresses.
