Apple Vision Pro will gain immersive Metallica show experience

Apple Vision Pro, virtual and increased reality glasses of the US technology company, will gain an immersive experience of a Metallica show on Friday (14). The news is part of the Apple Immersive Video project, which is only available for the brand’s new device.

The production calls “Metallica” was recorded during a presentation by the American band in Mexico City and offers an 180º view with very high resolution. The Mexican capital hosted four hits shows such as “Nothing Else Matters” and “Enter Sandman” in September 2024 with “M72 World Tour”.

“Apple Immersive Video transforms the way people experience the narrative, and we are excited to collaborate with Metallica in a show unlike the previous ones,” said Tor Myhren, Apple’s vice president of marketing communications. “With ‘Metallica’ at Apple Vision Pro, you feel like it was there: in the front row, behind the scenes and even on stage with one of the greatest bands of all time. ”

To perform the immersive experience, Apple created a custom stage layout with 14 cameras moving on the stage. Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich stated that the news “changes the game” and brings a new way to enjoy a distance show.

“Seeing our show like this, along with the energy of Mexico City fans – is very engaging and superdivered. We are always interested in overcoming the boundaries, and the ‘Metallica’ in Apple Vision Pro is just that, ”he said. “It’s not just the best place in the house – it’s like you’re on stage in a unique place.”
