Details continue to emerge about Apple’s first electric vehicle to be produced by the American division of automaker KIA.
Informed informants confirm that Apple’s first electric vehicle will not be available to end users. The company will initially target the corporate segment. It is also confirmed that Apple’s EV is designed as a fully self-driving vehicle. Back in 2019, it became known that Apple acquired a startup Drive.ai, which is developing autonomous control systems for self-driving cars.

South Korean sources report that on February 27, Apple and KIA will sign a cooperation agreement, under which the former will invest $ 3.5 billion. This will allow Apple to manufacture its vehicles at the KIA plant in Georgia.
It is also reported that the start of production will start in 2024 with a planned volume of 100,000 vehicles per year. Later plans to increase production capacity up to 400,000 cars per year.
