Sources today announced that TSMC has begun production of Apple A15 SoCs for next-generation iPhone smartphones. The Apple A15 is also reported to be ahead of Apple A14 in order volume, as Apple expects demand for the iPhone 13 series to be higher than the iPhone 12.
Apple’s A15 SoC is manufactured using the second generation 5nm N5P process technology. The performance of the Apple A15 will increase by at least 20% over the Apple A14, while again reducing power consumption.

Information about the start of production of the Apple A15 for the iPhone 13 indicates that Apple is not yet experiencing problems with a shortage of semiconductors required for the new flagship SoC.
In early April, DigiTimes announced that TSMC will begin mass shipments of Apple A15 SoCs for iPhone 13 smartphones in May this year, ahead of schedule.
Last year, the iPhone 12 series was delayed until October due to the outbreak, but this year Apple is expected to unveil and release the iPhone 15 in September this year.
