Applications for Fundação Estudar scholarships open until Tuesday (29)

Applications for the School Leaders program, from the School Foundation. Until Tuesday (29), Brazilian students will be able to apply and compete for a scholarship at the best universities in the country and abroad.

It is necessary to be between 16 and 34 years old and be in process, enrolled or studying higher education in Brazil or abroad to participate in the program.

Applicants in undergraduate and exchange programs must pay a fee of R$75 for enrollment, and R$150 for graduate programs. Students who do not have the financial means to pay the amount of the fee can request the exemption, proving the need.

Among the scholarships available are: complete graduation in Brazil; undergraduate or double degree academic exchange; complete undergraduate degree abroad or postgraduate degree abroad.

There is no pre-defined number of scholarships, it depends on the number of candidates that stand out in the process. Last year, 34 students were approved. However, the expectation is that, in 2022, this number will be increased.

The selection process has six stages, which involve profile and logic tests, trajectory analysis, a video presentation and panels with the program’s founders and leaders. The selection lasts about two months.

Fundação Estudar will also define whether the panels will be online or in person. However, all previous phases will be online.

About the project

Created 31 years ago, the Líderes Estudar Program collaborated with the formation of more than 760 names that today are references in the most diverse markets. “Their objective is to stimulate personal and professional development so that they generate major transformations in the country”, explains Anamaíra Spaggiari, executive director of Fundação Estudar.

Among some of them are scientist Dayene Caldeira, a doctoral student at UFRJ, who is in the testing phase of a study that can cure the asthma of millions of people around the world; Gabriel Bayomi, a software engineer at Apple who works with artificial intelligence and language processing with Siri; and the duo Henrique Dubugras and Pedro Franceschi who, at just 23 years old, became the youngest unicorn founders in the world.
