Developers from The Coalition studio, known for the Gears of War series, have published a video demonstrating the capabilities of the Unreal Ungine 5 engine.
The Cavern Cinematic Tech Test demo, the developers say, shows how cinematic-quality assets, including tens of millions of polygons, can be rendered in real time, a massive 100x leap forward in detail.
The studio said that they have been working with UE5 for over a year now and are very impressed with the new tools and features. At the same time, they don’t want to talk about the new The Coalition game yet, but this may well be the next part of Gears of War, which is now simply called Gears.
The demo was launched on the Xbox Series X, but here it is worth understanding that such demo products, first of all, are designed to reveal the capabilities of the new engine to 100%. In a full-fledged game, it is often very difficult to implement this level of graphics. However, Unreal Ungine 5 will take gaming to the next level anyway.
