Arbitrum proposes to create a memcoin fund

In the Arbitrum community put forward a proposal o the creation of a fund aimed at supporting projects in the memcoin sector. Its author believes that in this way it is possible to attract liquidity and new users to the ecosystem.

“There is no reason why Arbitrum should not at least try to stimulate the memcoin sector. Some may think that Arbitrum is “imposing” these tokens, but any other blockchain does the same,” the author of the proposal says in a note.

The essence of the initiative is to launch a fund with an initial budget of $3 million. The funds will be used to support and finance individual projects in the memcoin sector.

The following requirements are put forward for the latter: liquidity volume of at least $200,000, capitalization – $1 million or more, low percentage of large hodlers.

The author noted that it took him about an hour to compose the proposal. He invited community members to fix any possible “holes”, after which the initiative would be put to a vote. Note that most commentators supported the idea.
