Architect Jefferson Dias Aguiar, 38, was killed with three shots made by criminals in the West Zone of Sao Paulo, on the afternoon of last Tuesday (1). According to the victim’s uncle, Jucier de Aguiar, Jefferson’s father had also been murdered in the same way when he was seven years old.
Jucier told CNN That the man wanted to have children, and already made some plans for life. After the death of his father, the architect, when he became older, became the man in the house, even working when he was a minor to help his mother and sisters.
“It was impressive. He took his bike, sold bread, sold cold, assisted the family at home. It was an impressive business. It’s shocking. A human being out and dying like this,” the uncle said in an interview.
According to the relative, Jefferson led a busy life. In addition, the victim was described as someone who did not tolerate injustices and, therefore, reacted to the robbery to help the woman being stolen.
“It was indignation. Exactly. It was very his.” He didn’t like injustice. He thought it all very unfair. And unfortunately, he paid his life for doing it, “Jucier said.
Remember the case
The architect was on the Rua Judge Armando Fairbanks when he witnessed a woman being robbed. He then threw his car against the motorcycle, overthrowing one of the robbers. At this point, it was hit by firearm shots. Despite being rescued and sent to the University Hospital in very serious state, he could not resist his injuries and died.
The perpetrator of the shots fled on foot after the crime, abandoning the motorcycle, which was later found as stolen. Police reported that the criminals escaped southern zone by Marginal Pinheiros.
A video showing the moment when the architect runs over one of the thieves is being analyzed by the authorities. The Secretariat of Public Security (SSP) reported that steps are being carried out to clarify all circumstances.
The São Paulo Civil Police identified the two suspects involved in the crime. According to the State Department of Criminal Investigations (Deic), the teams now take steps to locate and arrest the suspects.
Jefferson will be veiled in the west of São Paulo, this Thursday (3). The funeral began around 7am, at Parque dos Ypês Cemetery, in Itapecerica da Serra, Greater São Paulo.
