Have you ever seen Adele and Sam Smith in the same location at the same time? For fans, this is suspicious.
In an interview with The Drew Barrymore Show, which aired on Monday (23), Smith told the presenter that the craziest rumor he’s heard about himself is that, secretly, he is a drag version of the singer. It is worth remembering that Sam identifies as a non-binary person and uses the pronouns elu/delu.
“Because we’ve never been seen in the same room together, and if you slow down her voice, maybe it sounds a little like mine,” he said.
This theory has been debated for some years now. It started with a Twitter user in 2015 and gained momentum especially from 2018. There are videos comparing the voice of the two, like this one:
