Seismic A 6.3-magnitude tremor struck shortly after midnight on Friday (20/1) in the north Argentinaas reported by the Reuters agency citing the Euro-Mediterranean Seismological Center (ESMC).
The epicenter of the earthquake is located 22 kilometers north of the community of El Hoyo and the focal depth is estimated at 592 kilometers.
So far there are no reports of casualties or significant property damage.
