Argentina sends 15,000 names for USA from preventing access to the Club World Cup

Javier Milei’s government has delivered a list of more than 15,000 people currently prohibited from stadiums from Argentina on Monday to the United States to be prevented from going to FIFA Club World Cup games.

The Club World Cup will be held in the United States between June 14 and July 13, 2025. According to Argentine Minister of Security, Patricia Bullrich, the delivery of the list of fans considered violent is made after the signing of an agreement between the countries.

“No violent, no one in the Argentine stadiums has committed a crime, extorted, will be able to enter this club World Cup that will be played in the United States,” said Milei, alongside US business in Argentina, Abigail Dressel.

Argentina’s list is used in the program “Tribuna Segura” (safe stands in Portuguese), to prevent the presence in the Argentine stadiums of members of the alleged “Bravas bars”, as the country’s violent organized fans are known.

According to Bullrich, data from over 4 million football viewers have been checked at stadium entries in recent years. “The level of decreased violence in Argentina stadiums was very important,” he said.

Of the 15,000 names sent to the United States, 1166 have been arrested in Argentina.

“This means a strengthening of international cooperation in sports safety, which is very important to us,” said the minister, who has also sent data from people with prohibited entry to stadiums to Brazil.

From Brazil, Botafogo, Flamengo, Fluminense and Palmeiras were classified for the Club World Cup. Already from Argentina, River Plate and Boca Juniors are in the dispute.
