Argentina’s General Electoral Command is using mules to distribute ballot boxes to mountainous regions of the country. Argentine voters will vote on Sunday (22).
According to the government, more than 86 thousand members of the Armed Forces and Security Forces were mobilized, taking the ballot boxes to 17 thousand establishments across the country.
In addition, a total of 4,500 land vehicles, a C-130 “Hercules” plane, 12 helicopters, four boats and around 90 mules are also used to transport the ballot boxes to mountainous regions of the country.
The operation also includes meteorological monitoring in each region of Argentina. At Antarctic bases, for example, there are 221 people authorized to exercise the right to vote, according to the government.

The Argentine elections are already taking place in New Zealand and Australia . The Argentine government said that citizens registered to vote have already started doing so in both Wellington, New Zealand, and Sydney, Australia, due to the time difference.
