Argentine Big Brother participant is diagnosed with leukemia on the program

One of the participants in the Gran Hermano — Argentina's Big Brother — was diagnosed with leukemia while participating in the program.

Stuntwoman Juliana “Furia” Scaglione, 33, left the reality show house to receive the results of some medical tests she had undergone after experiencing health problems during the program.

Upon returning, she told the other participants that she had been diagnosed with level 1 leukemia, but stated that she is fine and that she will continue participating in the game: “I have something…, but I don't have to undergo treatment. And finally, since I'm at level one and it's not level four, I can continue inside. Guys, I have leukemia. It’s not a joke.”

The other players were scared and asked the stuntwoman for more details, who explained why she will not start treatment now.

“I don't have to undergo treatment because it's at the level, it's almost nothing if it doesn't grow. So every month I have to take blood to see how it is,” she explained. “It may be that at the age of 40 I will reach level 3 and then…”

She also commented on the recommendations that the doctors made: “A healthy life, not smoking so much, because you know what cigarettes do. I can't train like I used to, that is, I can't be a high-performance athlete. Now I can train, but not like I used to.”

“But don’t worry, I’m fine, otherwise I wouldn’t have stayed here, they would have hospitalized me”, added the stuntwoman.
