An Argentine who was hiding in Florianópolis (SC), after committing the crime of sexual abuse, was arrested on Tuesday (14) by the Federal Police. The citizen had an arrest order made by the Argentine court since April 2024.
In addition, the Argentine was on the Red Diffusion list of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol). The man lived as a homeless man, and was acting as a wall painter, residing in Brazil for about a year.
The information was released by the Federal Police, this Thursday (23).
The warrant of pre -trial detention was issued by the Supreme Federal Court (STF). The citizen will be sent to the prison system, and will remain until the definitive extradition for Argentina, its country of origin.
