Arlindo Cruz is hospitalized in Rio de Janeiro after suffering from bradycardia

Babi Cruz took to social media this Tuesday (23) to inform that singer Arlindo Cruz was once again hospitalized in Rio de Janeiro. The samba singer is 65 years old and needed medical attention after having bradycardia, which is when the heart rhythm becomes irregular or slow.

Babi explains that it was not necessary to be admitted to the Intensive Care Center (CTI), that the singer is only in a Semi-Intensive Care Unit. “He’s by my side, calm, being taken care of with everything he needs and deserves.”

The samba singer deals with the consequences of a hemorrhagic stroke he suffered in 2017. Furthermore, he has an autoimmune disease, is tracheostomized and has a gastrostomy (GTT), that is, he uses a feeding tube.

In October 2023, Arlindo Cruz spent a month at Casa de Saúde São José, in Rio de Janeiro, to treat bacterial mumps. In July of the same year, the musician was hospitalized for around a month in the ICU (Intensive Therapy Center) to treat pneumonia.

“He has everything balanced again, within his possibilities. Within the framework he finds himself in, he is doing very well. Babi ends the video by thanking his fans for their prayers and affection. “Long live São Jorge and long live the warrior Arlindo Cruz”.
