An armed couple invaded the Hospital Barão de Lucena, in Recife, in an attempt to assault local employees on Thursday (30). In the action, the couple, who have not yet been identified by the Military Police, overpowered a security guard and took his gun.
According to the Health Secretariat of Pernambuco, as they left the place, the two suspects even exchanged fire with the security guards. No one was hurt.
According to the PM, the couple fired shots into the air at the time of the escape.
After the incident, the surveillance company responsible for hospital security called the PM and registered a police report.
The secretariat reported that it monitors the unfolding of the case, providing assistance to the security guards involved and providing the necessary information to investigate the occurrence.
The folder also added that hospital care continued to occur normally.
