During negotiations with the police, the man demanded 200 million euros in cryptocurrency. Amsterdam was told that at one point, dozens of people were able to run out of the Apple Store, and then the perpetrator rushed after one of the hostages, who tried to escape when the police gave him water using a robot. A robot was sent to the motionless man, with the help of which they checked for the presence of explosive substances. After that, the offender was arrested and taken to the hospital. The detainee was a 27-year-old resident of Amsterdam, who had a criminal record for illegal possession of weapons.

The man acted alone. Apple has not commented on the incident.
