According to the APE-MPE, in a short press release, the Ankara Prosecutor’s Office states that a court issued “the arrest warrant for Sedat Packer”, one of the most famous “godmothers” in Turkey, who says he resides in the UAE, without further details.
For almost a month now, Packer has been posting videos on YouTube in which accuses high-ranking officials and members of their families of rape, murder or drug trafficking.
Peker, 40, who has been convicted of links to organized crime but presents as a businessman, succeeds -among other things- against Turkish Interior Minister Suleyman Soylu, whom he accuses of betraying him after having him under his protection for some time.
Soilu and other individuals targeted by Peker deny the allegations. After weeks of silence, Erdogan publicly backed his minister yesterday.
So far, Packer has posted 7 of the promised 12 videos. The last of these has been viewed almost 15,000,000 times since it was posted on Sunday, May 23rd.
