Arrested this week after suspicion of assault against his ex-wife, lawyer and influencer João Francisco de Assis Neto, or simply João Neto, as he is known, performs on his social networks as a “former military” of the Bahia Military Police. However, he never acted on the streets by the corporation.
Sought by CNN the Bahia PM reported that João Neto even participated in the Soldier Training Course 15 years ago, but was expelled.
“As it was excluded before the course was completed, he at no time worked on the street as a military policeman,” says the corporation.
The lawyer was arrested in the act on Monday (14) in Maceió on suspicion of assaulting the 25-year-old ex-wife. According to the police report, the victim confirmed to the police that he was assaulted by João Neto inside the couple’s apartment, reporting that he knocked her with a push, causing a deep cut in the chin.
He was found and arrested near the hospital where the woman received care.
The Brazilian Bar Association (OAB) reported during the week that the case of João Neto was referred to the Institution’s Court of Ethics and Discipline. The entity classified what happened as “extremely serious” and “ethical-disciplinary infraction”.
