Arthur Hayes and Raoul Pal highlight promising coins

Former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes and Real Vision CEO Raoul Pal named strong altcoins, highlighting the potential of Solana (SOL) and Aptos (APT).

“I am 90% Solana. It was the right bet for the current cycle,” Pal said.

He noted that a breakout on the ETH/BTC chart could signal the start of altcoin season “in its truest form.”

Hayes is bullish on Ethena (ENA), given the potential of the USDe stablecoin to displace USDT and USDC. The expert also highlighted Ether.Fi, which now dominates the liquid staking ecosystem.

The former head of BitMEX admitted that Aptos could overtake Solana in the “L1 network race.”

Pal hinted at the importance of the Move programming language. He is confident in its potential to “shape the future of blockchain technology.”

Both experts discussed the importance of strategic positioning in the cryptocurrency market. Pal warned against using outdated ideas about the industry:

“Hold on to your coins, but don’t [испортите] briefcase, owning the wrong things. You [не хотите] miss the whole rally because everyone is still stuck in the narrative of the previous three cycles.”

Hayes expanded on this point by noting that Cardano (ADA) may not be in the top 10 of the upcoming bull run.

Meme madness

According to the ex-CEO of BitMEX, meme coins still have the potential to take off in this cycle, and the market is sure to become “even crazier” as Fed and the US Treasury are “printing more and more money.”

Hayes and Pal’s investment portfolio includes dog-themed coins, including Dogecoin (DOGE), Bonk (BONK) and Dogwifhat (WIF).

The interlocutors also agreed that DOGE could be the next contender to launch spot ETFs.

“This is the oldest meme coin and it is hosted on Robinhood. If you think that TradFi is going to create ETFs for all kinds of cryptocurrencies, then [DOGE] “exactly that coin with a high market capitalization,” Hayes explained his position.

Real Vision’s CEO emphasized Dogecoin’s unique position as the “original meme token.” He noted that the asset’s cultural relevance and humor give it “a clear advantage over other, more niche cryptocurrencies.”

“I’m still in DOGE because I think Elon [Маск] is going to do something with the coin,” Pal suggested.

According to experts, the phenomenon of meme coins is crucial in the culture of the crypto market. However, they warned about the “fleeting” nature of such assets.

Previously, Pal and Hayes concluded that meme cryptocurrencies could benefit blockchain ecosystems by attracting new users and developers.

In June, the former head of BitMEX called for opening a long position on Bitcoin and later on shitcoins due to the start of a rate cut cycle.

Prior to this, Hayes predicted the growth of the first cryptocurrency to $70,000 by the end of the summer.
