The stained glass artist Marianne Peretti died last Monday (25), at the age of 94. The information was confirmed this Friday (29) by the Portuguese Hospital, in Recife.
The French-Brazilian plastic artist was the only woman to participate in the creative team for the construction of Brasília.
Peretti also has works in several buildings by Oscar Niemeyer in other parts of Brazil and the world: at the headquarters of Revista Manchete, in Rio de Janeiro, at Edifício Burgo, in Turin, Italy, and at Maison de la Culture du Havre, in Le Havre, France.
Perett also marked the Chamber of Deputies, the Jaburu Palace, the Juscelino Kubitschek Memorial, the National Theater, the Superior Court of Justice building and the Brasília Cathedral.

The stained glass artist was born in Paris in 1927 and became a Brazilian citizen in the 1950s, when she moved to São Paulo and began to invest in her artistic career.
During his life in Europe, Peretti made illustrations for books. It was in Brazil that she began to dedicate herself to stained glass, panels, sculptures and reliefs for buildings.
