The Minister of Health, Marcelo Queiroga, declared, this Friday (10), that “as far as I know, there was no loss of data” in the folder’s system after a cyber attack during this morning. However, he stated that information about vaccination against Covid-19 has yet to be retrieved.
“As far as I know there was no data loss. All Brazilians were affected, which affects the Ministry of Health affects all Brazilians”, said Queiroga.
The Federal Police (PF), in turn, said in a note obtained first-hand by the CNN, that the Covid-19 case notification systems, the National Immunization Program (PNI) and ConectSUS were compromised. However, the data was not encrypted.
Postponement in quarantine for non-vaccinated
After the cyber attack, the executive secretary of the Ministry of Health, Rodrigo Cruz, said that the five-day quarantine for travelers not vaccinated against Covid-19, which would be established from this Saturday (11), was postponed to the day December 18th.
According to Queiroga, the measure was taken “because there are Brazilians who are coming, and naturally, they need to check, just because of that. There must be isonomy in these issues. I’m not going to prevent Brazilians from entering, and create a rule for Brazilians and another for foreigners”.
