A flight had to be interrupted after the plane was hit by the asphalt of the runway at Navegantes International Airport, in Santa Catarina, this Tuesday morning (14).
The aircraft, which was destined for Tom Jobim International Airport (Galeão), in Rio de Janeiro, was beginning to take off when the pavement of the landing and take-off road collapsed and hit the vehicle’s fuselage, according to Gol.
In the image below, you can see the area damaged by the asphalt:

The airline reported that all passengers on flight G3 1843 were disembarked safely.
A 60-meter area of the runway was isolated for repairs until other planes can safely cross it, according to CCR Aeroportos, which manages Navegantes.
With the isolation, four flights that would depart after G3 1843 were canceled and their passengers will have their tickets rescheduled or will be accommodated on flights from Florianópolis and Joinville, also in Santa Catarina, or from Curitiba, the capital of Paraná.
