ASRock has announced the Intel C621A workstation motherboard C621A WS. The ATX board supports the 3rd generation Intel Xeon Scalable processors in the Intel Socket 4189 (Socket P +) design – in other words, included in the Intel Xeon W-3300 series introduced today.

The board is equipped with eight DDR4 DIMM slots. They can accommodate modules up to DDR4-3200 RDIMM, RDIMM-3DS, LRDIMM, LRDIMM-3DS or IntelOptane Persistent Memory 200. The maximum memory capacity depends on the modules used. RDIMMs can dial 64 GB, LRDIMMs – 128 GB, RDIMM-3DS or LRDIMM-3DS – 256 GB.
The board has four PCIe Gen4 x16 slots and three PCIe Gen4 x8 slots. Three PCIe Gen4 x16 slots are paired with PCIe Gen4 x8 slots, so when a card is inserted into a PCIe Gen4 x8 slot, the associated PCIe Gen4 x16 slot switches to PCIe Gen4 x8 mode.

The storage subsystem can be configured using three two SATA 6Gb / s ports, one mini-SAS HD connector, and two M.2 slots. One of the M.2 slots has SATA 6 Gb / s and PCIe Gen3 x4 interfaces, and the other – SATA 6 Gb / s and PCIe Gen3 x1. Both slots are compatible with Intel Optane SSDs and support booting from NVMe SSDs.
The board is equipped with two 1 GbE ports and two 10 GbE ports. Another network port is dedicated to the needs of IPMI. It is provided by an ASPEED AST2500 controller, to which a D-Sub video output is also connected, supporting resolutions up to 1920 x 1200 pixels at a refresh rate of 60 Hz.
The equipment includes connectors for SPI TPM and LPC TPM, a COM port, two USB3.2 Gen2 Type-C ports and six USB3.2 Gen1 ports.
